With a particular focus on self-compassion, Work Within offers counselling to people wanting to more deeply understand themselves and cope with challenges and difficult life experiences in a gentle and safe space.

Counselling is time that is just for you, to work through issues or experiences that are impacting, or have impacted you. It can help you to process, understand and find meaning of your experiences and develop strategies and tools to cope with and bring balance to your life.

 

Work Within offers a safe, warm, and welcoming space for you to talk through any issues that you are hoping to understand, heal or develop strategies for. Amy is an experienced Counsellor who works with a variety of modalities including compassion-based therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy.

People come to Work Within for counselling for many different reasons including: 

  • Grief and Loss 

  • To work through trauma 

  • To understand and manage anxiety or depression 

  • To talk about relationship issues 

  • To better understand themselves 

  • To better accept themselves 

  • To learn strategies and tools to deal with stress and manage difficult emotions 

  • To understand relationships.

​

Counselling sessions are for one hour and ideally should be attended once per week for the best outcomes.

 

Located in the leafy, peaceful suburb of Burbank in Brisbane’s south, Work Within offers the perfect place to spend some time focusing on yourself.

 

If you are unable to attend in person, online sessions are also available.
